Chocolate Waffles


My friend Rebeca and I made these to celebrate while watching the Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and they were *royally* delicious! I used Koia cacao bean plant based chocolate milk in these. It's one of my favorite healthy beverages and has a great flavor! You could use any chocolate milk you want though!

Ingredients

3 eggs

1/4 cup cacao bean Koia (or desired chocolate milk)

1 tsp vanilla

1 and 3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp baking powder


Steps

1. Whisk the eggs, chocolate milk, and vanilla in a small bowl.

2. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and baking powder until smooth.

3. Lightly grease a waffle iron and cook the waffles! I have a mini waffle maker, so it only takes 3-5 minutes to cook each, but may take longer if you use a full size waffle iron.

4. Top with nut butter, berries, and almonds, and enjoy with tea! Cheers!
